EXPERIENCE THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

Personal work

2020-2024

I graduated this past spring from Parsons school of design majoring in fashion design.

throughout my studies i made 2 capsule collections and my thesis collection from start

to finish. the work consisted of moodboards, illustrations, patterns, material

sourcing, textile exploration, machine & hand knitting/crochet, sample garments, tailoring,

machine & hand-sewing, digital design, fabric dyeing, photographing looks, styling,

shoe construction.

Rowing Blazers

New York, NY

view

I collaborated with the founder and creative director of Rowing Blazers

Jack Carlson where we designed two layered outfits for the Goodwill charity

Gala. i took part in deconstructing the thrifted clothing which i then used to

create ten unique tailored garments to be sold in the auction. from seam ripping

to machine and hand sewing, each piece constructed was a one of one

handmade garment.

Willy Chavarria

New York, NY

I worked at the Spring-Summer 2025 fashion show backstage, dressing the models.

I also hand-sewed hems and worked on other finishings for the outfits. this job required

us to organize all the looks onto racks beforehand and reorganize the garments

backstage in the dressing room.

Luar (MET Gala)

New York,NY

I had the opportunity to work with the Luar team at The Carlyle Hotel. My specific

job that night was attaching feathers and crystals by hand sewing them into Paloma

Elsesser’s dress.

Bodega Ltd.

Multidisciplinary creative studio / nike

Minneapolis, Minnesota

I worked at Bodega from december 1st of 2019 until january 1st 2021.

Throughout this job i worked on managing packages which included prepping

and organizing the items for display. I did manual work such as painting

and woodworking for the studio's interior. When Bodega would host event

dinners or pop up events, i would serve and supply the customers while

communicating with each individual.  While working on projects, i would work

on some of the design making and prototypes which included physically working

with the materials and photographing the process and final product. i assisted

on set for photoshoots by gathering/prepping garments and styling outfits.

ARTIST STATEMENT

As a designer, my ethos is to present an experience to the audience which will intrigue each individual to ask about its origin story.

Many seek understanding of the steps taken behind the garments construction process along with the textured textile used throughout various pieces.

Each garment created comes with its differences stemming from the unpredictability of the paneled material repurposed from its pre-existing garment.

Throughout my artistic process of making a new garment, the nuance of the beginning stage always has me eager to come upon new ideas while working.

My purpose behind using deconstructed garment panels is the fascination of discovering new colors and details within the seam allowance that were once covered by stitches.

Uncovering these details makes for a diverse color palette made up of the original/worn material throughout the surface of each textile face.

As I work with a concept with its own set narrative, I find my purpose within its ideations.

While I bring in my own beliefs of equality within all levels of life not just within the sport world, the concept takes shape over time of creating and making with the final material.

Realizing that I can only visually plan so far ahead, I've found the process to be informative to my overall practice of creating a cohesive collection.
